Miss Whiteman’s technical assistance and training portfolio includes work in building community relations utilizing multi-modal communication venues, a background in Tribal Historic Preservation, and integrating traditional indigenous knowledge with contemporary practices. She uses indigenous research methods throughout her practice and has experience working closely with Tribal Elders and Culture bearers, giving her a rich background in understanding communications and sovereignty.

 

Camille has worked in higher education, specializing in community engagement, research, administrative services, board support, event and logistics coordination, social media, and the ability to incorporate fresh perspectives to long-term challenges. During her time at Salish Kootenai College, Camille provided support, communication, and educational efforts toward various academic research projects and college campaigns. This included an internship with the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribe (CSKT) Tribal Preservation Office and aiding in ethnographic research for the American Battlefield Protection Program. Camille’s work with Salish Kootenai College’s Department of Institutional Advancement (formerly known as SKC Foundation) included cultural perpetuation, access and success, research and service, and quality education campaigns, allowing her to create meaningful connections with the Mission Valley community, various donors, and philanthropists.
