Mr. Whiteman is building his portfolio in technical assistance and training, with a focus on tribal economic development, strategic planning, small business planning, and culturally responsive marketing. He combines Indigenous values with modern business strategies, highlighting Native self-sufficiency and sovereignty through entrepreneurship. Clayton employs Indigenous research methods, leveraging his experience in student leadership, community engagement, and business consulting.

 

Clayton has actively engaged with higher education to serve his community. He completed the VITA Volunteer Tax Program, which provides tax services for low-income tribal members and elders. Additionally, Mr. Whiteman has served on the Entrepreneurship Board for Salish Kootenai College, focusing on economic strategy, business development, event support, and digital content creation. While attending Salish Kootenai College, he contributed to various academic and community-based projects centered on Native entrepreneurship, environmental justice, and marketing. Clayton has also provided support and assistance on multiple projects through Nokomis Strategies. His collaborative approach has effectively aligned the community's vision with long-term economic development.
